UMortgage Loan Originators Have Passion for Helping Others

Since the beginning, one of our primary missions at UMortgage is to be more than a mortgage company for the communities we serve. More important to us than winning a deal has been our focus on educating consumers and powering financial literacy nationwide, especially in underserved communities.

Through this effort, we’ve learned that there are numerous loan originators and mortgage brokerages throughout the country that feel the same way. That shared passion of treating community members as more than potential leads, but as people who can genuinely benefit from learning more of the ins and outs associated with mortgages, has created tremendous opportunities for mutual growth.

Here are some of the new loan originators who have joined the UMortgage family in the first quarter of 2022:

  • Mike Alberico, Raleigh, North Carolina. Entering his tenth-year as an LO, Mike’s passion is working with Veterans to provide them with support, education and guidance so they can accomplish their dreams of homeownership. He has been ranked VVA5 within the Vetted VA Community and plans to continue to give back and support veterans.
  • Amer Bally, Troy, Michigan. A broker for three years, the 27-year-old is one the fastest rising stars in the mortgage industry. He is the top-ranked loan officer in Michigan and No. 83 overall loan officer in the country. In addition to helping more than 2,000 families purchase homes, Bally and his team have supported more than 15,000 Michigan families through charitable donations, as part of its “Bally Giveback” initiative with Detroit-based Gleaners Food Bank.
  • Lucas Faillace, Hollywood, Florida. A seven-year LO, Lucas takes great pride in working with first-time homebuyers, helping them navigate the process and making sure they truly understand what they’re doing – not just blindly going through the motions. One of his motivators is supporting clients who have been tagged as unqualified candidates elsewhere by working on Non-QM loans to help everyone achieve their dream of homeownership.
  • Sean Grapevine, Smyrna, Georgia. Sean has been an LO for seven years, following a career path that also includes stints as a line cook, barista and car salesman. He founded ATL Mortgage in 2017 and found creative ways to grow business, including leveraging relationships with his Church congregation to support Atlantans with lower fees and faster closings. He brought his team to UMortgage for further support and growth.
  • David Koch, Chicago, Illinois. A mortgage originator since 2018, David began his career as a credit union teller and later transitioned into sales, selling office supplies door to door. His first sale was a case of paper to a local mortgage broker who later offered from a Loan Officer Assistant position; Koch has been in the industry ever since. A Certified Mortgage Advisor (CMA), he is licensed in Illinois and Wisconsin, and further represents the next wave of young outstanding loan originators poised for breakout success.

There’s a consistent trend among all of the loan originators who have joined the UMortgage family: they all have a passion for helping others, and genuinely care about making the lives of their clients and communities better. That’s what makes them a good fit for them team – and that commonality extends to why they’ve chosen to team up with UMortgage.
