UMortgage Welcomes Three TikTok Influencers And Doubles its Team of LOs in Q2

PHILADELPHIA, PA., June 30, 2022 — UMortgage continued its exponential national growth in Q2 of 2022 with the addition of 52 new Loan Originators and six new branches from coast-to-coast. Expanding its national footprint, UMortgage added branches in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Colorado, Orlando, and Raleigh. The hires emphasized the company’s goal to bolster its portfolio of LOs in the influencer sphere, with a forward vision to fresh marketing techniques within the mortgage and housing industries. 

Three of UMortgage’s prominent influencer hires are spearheading efforts to expand the company’s reach and help more people achieve their dreams of buying a home. Nate Fain, Arielle Best, and Rebecca Richardson all co-manage Homeowner HQ—a virtual branch dedicated to educating and serving prospective and existing homeowners all over the country. 

Homeowner HQ is blazing a trail in the housing industry and changing the public perception of mortgages by sharing their knowledge through digestible, educational content on popular social media channels. Together, the managers of Homeowner HQ have developed a strong network online, most notably on TikTok, with more than 422,000 combined followers on the platform. While this content drives business, the overall goal remains the same—empowerment through education.

Meet Nate Fain - @themortgagecreator

Fain used his 10 years of experience as a licensed Loan Originator and extensive knowledge of the industry to expand his footprint on TikTok. His insight combined with his unique personality has gained him nearly 250,000 followers and more than two million likes on the platform.

“For the last year or so, Arielle, Rebecca, and I have sort of joked that we should form a team,” said Fain. “We all have different personalities, but we share the same vision. I think that’s the mark of a really great team. Our main goal is to educate and empower the public so they can make an informed decision when getting a mortgage.

“UMortgage really bought into this crazy idea and vision that Rebecca, Arielle, and I have for our team. UMortgage’s technology and focus on client experience also fits our business model perfectly, which is really exciting."

Meet Rebecca Richardson - @the.mortgage.mentor

The company welcomed Richardson to its team of Loan Originators in June. She developed a large following by sharing her knowledge about the mortgage process on the social media platform, TikTok to try and increase accessibility into the housing market through financial education and empowerment. 

Her TikTok profile boasts more than 127,000 followers while her Instagram account adds another 10,000 followers. Her videos on those platforms have received more than 1.4 million views in the last 60 days.

“Shortly after I joined UMortgage, I realized that I’ve found my people,” said Richardson. “This company offered me the ability to form a tight-knit team of other Loan Originators and presented an opportunity for me to take my pre-existing platform to the next level.

“It’s been really great to tap into my fellow team members’ wealth of knowledge in order to assist even more borrowers with their homeownership goals. My team has freed me up to build stronger relationships with my clients and provide them with the best experience possible.”

An estimated 25% of Richardson’s client base tracks back to TikTok referrals. Following her success on social media, she was hand-picked to be a member of the ‘Learn on TikTok’ creator group where she was able to collaborate with and learn directly from TikTok own additional ways to share financial literacy principles on the platform and beyond.

Meet Arielle Best - @thatonedamnginger

Best also joined UMortgage in June after developing a large social following by debunking myths and providing factual information regarding VA loans. With punchy, specialized content, she has tallied more than 700,000 views on TikTok in the last 60 days. 

“I started my TikTok channel because I wanted to start giving my knowledge directly to the people it affects, the Veteran and Active Duty Community,” said Best. “I never planned on using that platform as a way to earn business from Veterans and the Miltok community, but it happened. I knew I needed to find a new place to call home for my business because the reach and help I was providing was staggering, but there’s only one of me.” 

Best’s passion for serving the Veteran and Active Duty communities has been reciprocated within those communities through the exponential growth of her TikTok channel. With more than 42,000 followers on the platform, she has been able to impact more than 600 Veterans and Active Service Members looking to begin their homebuying process since 2021.

“I talked to a lot of companies and the only one which matched my no-ego, Veteran-experience-focused drive was UMortgage,” continued Best. “UMortgage’s passion to help me by backing me with the tools I need is why I joined the company.
