The Road to 300 | Ben Bell Marks a Milestone of Families Served

Ben Bell’s approach to his business’ continued success starts with one thing: genuine care for the clients he serves.

Since joining UMortgage in June 2022, Ben Bell has made a huge impact on his community in Atlanta and throughout Georgia. We’re proud to share his latest milestone—his 300th loan closed with UMortgage!

As a Senior Branch Manager and Scotsman Guide-ranked originator, Ben’s journey with UMortgage has always centered around his profound commitment to his clients. In many ways, this commitment to the clients he serves has been a key driver in his continued success over the years.

Creating Homeownership Dreams, Regardless of the Size

With more than 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Ben’s success is about more than just numbers; to him, success means that he’s made a positive impact on the families he serves. Every loan offers a new opportunity to guide his clients toward long-term financial freedom.

Ben’s approach is simple yet powerful: prioritize relationships, not transactions. “There’s not one program that I say I’m better or worse at,” shared Ben. “My favorite loan product is literally all of them. I’m just as happy to help a client who wants to buy an $80,000 manufactured home as I am to do the $2 million jumbo loan.”

This philosophy reflects Ben’s genuine desire to help anyone—regardless of their background or financial situation—achieve their dreams of homeownership and access the life-changing benefits that come with it.

Mortgage Service That Goes Beyond the Loan

Buying a home is one of the biggest financial commitments most people make, and Ben sees his role as pivotal in helping clients achieve financial freedom through responsible homeownership. Many in the mortgage industry view clients as one-time transactions, but Ben envisions something far greater. For him, each mortgage represents an ongoing relationship where he serves as a trusted advisor for his clients’ long-term financial well-being.

“I take so much pride in the relationships I have with my borrowers,” Ben emphasizes. “We impact lives every single day. It’s a big financial sacrifice that people make to get their mortgage, and I want to make sure that their experience getting that mortgage and owning their home is the best out there.”

How Mortgages Make a Difference in Your Community

For Ben, every loan closed positively impacts another life, provides another opportunity to support a client’s dreams, and demonstrates his commitment to relationships that last long after closing day. Ben is a testament to the positive impact loan officers can have on their communities when they’re equipped with the right resources and a supportive team that fosters their personal and professional growth.

UMortgage Named a 2026 Scotsman Guide Top Workplace
UMortgage is proud to announce that it has been named a 2026 Scotsman Guide Top Workplace. This is the third year in a row that UMortgage has earned this prestigious honor from Scotsman Guide, an industry-leading provider of financial technology tools and industry news for residential and commercial mortgage originators. “Earning this recognition three years running reflects our team’s commitment to our core value, Get Better Every Day, both individually and collectively,” said Anthony Casa, Founder & CEO of UMortgage. “We invest heavily in training, tools, and community so Loan Originators can grow their pipelines, improve conversion, and deliver life-changing opportunities through homeownership for all of their clients.” In 2025, UMortgage hosted more than 120 hours of live daily training sessions led by top producers, UMortgage executives, and industry leaders. These sessions cover a wide range of topics, including prospecting new agents, generating referrals, navigating complex loan scenarios, reactivating past clients, and other best practices that define a Loan Originator's success. For those new to the industry, UMortgage introduced a Sales Development Program in 2025 focused on building the habits and referral-generating relationships needed for a new LO’s early success. The program includes small-group sessions held multiple times a week to share proven playbooks for new LOs, instill the habits that drive success in the mortgage industry, and promote the accountability and consistency needed to see results. To offer all LOs real-time advice on specific files or scenarios, UMortgage launched the Mortgage Manual with Jimmy Hobson, National Sales Director; these office hours-style sessions are hosted every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and provide live guidance on loan scenarios, product selection, and file structuring for smoother, faster closings. “The Mortgage Manual is one of the many ways we help our Loan Originators elevate their business and the client experience,” said Hobson. “Having access to live feedback on real scenarios helps LOs structure stronger files, choose the right products, and deliver smoother, faster closings.” Behind this educational programming is a collaborative community of top producers, innovators, and specialists who share playbooks, hold each other accountable, and problem-solve as a team. And at the center is Tempo, UMortgage’s proprietary sales performance CRM, which promotes friendly competition and camaraderie through live leaderboards, daily streaks, and branch and company-wide competitions. UMortgage's focus on its people, processes, and systems continues to translate directly into business growth. In 2025, UMortgage served more than 6,700 families for over $2.58 billion in funded volume. The average number of loans closed per LO increased by 20%, underscoring that LOs who join UMortgage grow their pipelines and production. This growth goes beyond the workplace as well. With UMortgage’s WHOOP community, fitness tasks available in Tempo, and leadership that promotes a healthier work-life balance, UMortgage team members are given the tools they need to improve personally as they grow professionally. The fruits of that investment turned UMortgage's Tempo application from a simple activity-tracking app into a fully-fledged CRM with full integration to and real-time data from UMortgage’s Loan Origination Software (LOS). A quick roadmap of Tempo’s flagship features released throughout 2025: Q1 2025: Tempo Email Campaigns Built-in email drip campaigns LOs can activate for past clients and referral partners. Sean Grapevine Named 2025 HousingWire Tech Trendsetter
UMortgage is proud to announce that Sean Grapevine, VP of Product Strategy, has been named a 2025 HousingWire Tech Trendsetter. The HousingWire Tech Trendsetters award honors 75 technology leaders who are driving innovation and impact across the housing industry. Grapevine leads the vision, roadmap, and delivery for Tempo, UMortgage’s proprietary sales performance platform that helps Loan Originators (LOs) turn daily actions into funded loans. Launched in November 2024, Tempo pairs a simple, LO-friendly workflow with outcome-based insights to provide clear visibility into which relationships, activities, and touchpoints move loans through the funnel. With full integration to UMortgage’s LOS, Tempo delivers real-time data from tangible results taken directly from their active pipeline. In August 2025, UMortgage introduced the Referral Partner Relationship Tracker, which blends activity captured in Tempo with outcomes from UMortgage’s LOS to quantify the health and value of every agent relationship. The Lead Tracker, launched in October 2025, extends that clarity to active purchase and refinance pipelines by mapping leads to goal-specific journeys and scheduling timely touchpoints to increase conversion at milestones such as credit pulls, pre-approvals, and loan submissions. “Having spent years as a Loan Originator, it’s been so rewarding to build the system that I always wished I had while I was still producing,” said Grapevine. “Traditional CRMs tend to prescribe ‘what’ a salesperson should do. Tempo focuses more on the ‘who’ and the ‘why’ and gives the Loan Originator the data they need to decide the ‘what.’” Since Tempo’s initial release and subsequent enhancements from late 2024 to today, UMortgage has increased its funded loans per LO from 20.35 in 2024 to 25.75 through October 2025, a 26.5% per-LO increase that underscores Tempo’s effectiveness in scaling individual & collective production. “The roadmap to find success in this industry isn’t one-size-fits-all,” continued Grapevine. “Tempo gives LOs the data they need to identify their priorities, repeat the actions that are proven to convert, and make the best decisions for their business’s growth.” Tempo is continuing to grow, with more features and enhancements slated to roll out later this year. Among them is My Day, a calendar-integrated planning tool that helps LOs create call blocks, protect focus time, and consolidate job-related tasks into a single, easy-to-use dashboard.
